We’re pretty obsessed with Becky Cooper, author of Mapping Manhattan: A Love (and Sometimes Hate) Story in Maps by 75 New Yorkers. She facilitated our event, “Parisians v. New Yorkers” at the French Embassy last week and tonight she’ll be speaking about her book at TedX Williamsburg. You can watch the talk through live streaming around 8pm.
Mapping Manhattan is a compilation of maps Becky handed out all along Broadway in the summer of 2009. She asked people to map their memories, filling it with whatever was meaningful to them.
