NYC Just Had Its Worst Year for Brush Fires this Decade
As brush fires continue to rage in the New York area, data shows that they’ve become more prevalent in recent years.
We discovered this fun find at a recent meeting in the office of NYC’s Economic Development Corporation (EDC). They have a wall of fame of sorts containing the groundbreaking shovels of many of its projects. Here are a few, including the Barclay’s Center, Atlantic Yards, Fulton Fish Market and Metrotech:

Reminds us a little of the “5 time zones of NYC,” in the Mayor’s Office of Long-Term Planning & Sustainability (the clocks are supposed to be exactly the same but it’s funny nonetheless):
