Following yesterday’s defacing of Banksy’s red balloon by Omar, who has a long history of tagging the artist’s work, the Banksy NY social media machine has been mum so far today save for eradicator_nyc‘s post of the “Graffiti is a Crime” poster at West 4th that has been surfacing seemingly daily. (Here it is in Greenpoint yesterday).
Meanwhile, the image of Omar, getting photographed, mid-destruction, has been the subject of some creative photoshopping: here he is wearing spandex pants, here is is “getting wanked.” meljewell rightfully called the resulting product yesterday a “smack down of interesting proportions”:
