Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway to Host First Half Marathon To Support Waterfront Route Construction

Registration is now open for the Brooklyn Greenway Half, the first half marathon exclusively on the Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway, presented by Brooklyn Greenway Initiative (BGI) in partnership with South Brooklyn Running Club. Starting in Williamsburg, Brooklyn at 9am on Sunday, October 20, 2013, this intimate run will highlight BGI’s progress in achieving a fully completed greenway along the Brooklyn waterfront, as well as showcasing city and state parks. Registration is now open at www.brooklyngreenway.org

By running the Brooklyn Greenway Half, participants will be supporting the planning and implementation of the Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway, a 14-mile long recreation and transportation facility that will connect four regional parks and numerous new waterfront open spaces from Williamsburg to Sunset Park.
