About this Tour:
Even some of the most seasoned New Yorkers are surprised to learn about Floyd Bennett Field, a 1,300 acre former airfield, which now is essentially a blank canvas.
Through a series of agreements with the National Parks Service and the Gateway National Recreational Area, Runway Green has secured a 60-year lease to start a multi-phase project in this urban wilderness that will include an urban farm, an adventure course, campsites, a public amphitheater, and a NYC public high school with a focus on preparing young people for green jobs in the City.
On this exclusive tour for Untapped New York Insiders, we'll explore the former airfield, learning about its historic past and exciting future.
