And some Uptown Halloween love – State Street between Freret and St. Charles gets blocked off every year for trick-or-treaters.

The 1600 and 1700 blocks in particular seem to be in the midst of a decoration arms race. The clear winner is, I believe, 1700 State Street (the address was covered by their massive decorations). The whole gate structure is fake and part of the decorations.
