Downtown Doodler: Doodle Rain Ad Bomb

Earlier this year I found out about a contest that Doodlers Anonymous, an online home for  spontaneous art, was hosting. The rules were simple. “Just choose a magazine ad and doodle it up. Have a blast at the expense of the print advertising world.” And ever since then I can’t stop doodling on magazine ads! Although I mostly gravitated to ads with a lot of white space, this one struck me too.  New York City is such a busy place, but this NYC photo in this Macy’s ad was too calm and planned. It really needed an explosion of doodles! Besides, what’s better than actual rain? Doodle rain!
