Take the 5: All about the Pets of NYC
This week's "Take the 5" podcast episode is all about the pets and animals of New York City.
Have you ever left a subway station with an immediate craving for coffee only to wander for blocks looking for a great (non Starbucks) cafe to no avail? Search no more as Nirmal Banerjee of Butterfruit Labs Development just published a map with the best cafe by each subway stop. From Blue Bottle Coffee at the 14th Street and 8th Avenue stop to Stumptown Coffee Roasters at the the N/R/ 23rd Street stop, many of the city’s top coffee shops on are on the list.
From Banerjee’s description:
The coffeehouses which made the cut were selected based on their equipment, the type/source of beans used, stop proximity, and reviews from both customers and professionals. Unique spots also got priority. In cases of multiple stores, the original or most popular location of that chain was weighted more heavily. Shops which embraced their neighborhoods feel were also favored. Some locations didn’t have great options, and Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks had be chosen.
